There are all sorts of groups meeting across the area; from parent & toddler groups to fellowship groups to those which organise events for the wider community. Check out what we have on offer and see how you can be involved.

Toddler Groups

We have 3 Parent and Toddler groups running in the Ministry Area during term time. Come along and meet other parents whilst your children play with other children their own age.

Tuesdays in Magor Church Centre from 9am.

Wednesdays in Llanwern Village Hall from 10.30am.

Inner Space

A free guided meditation group to help release stress, anxiety and tension by concentrating on breathing and relaxation in a safe and secure space.

Mothers Union

The ministry area has three very active and growing branches of the Mothers Union. You don’t have to be a mother or even a woman to join.

Our monthly meetings are open to all and normally a guest speaker is invited to talk about a topic. Previous topics have ranged from looking at more obscure parts of the Bible to talks about the history of the area.

Caldicot Branch – 2pm on the first Tuesday of the month in Caldicot Church Hall.

Magor Branch – 10.15am on the last Monday of the month in Magor Church Centre.

Wentwood Branch – 11am on the second Wednesday of the month in Caerwent Church.

Magor Churchmen

A group (not all men despite the name) who are actively involved in fundraising and organising community events. Amongst the events organised are the May Fayre, Frost Fayre and Christmas Eve Santa run.

We also support local schools and churches and other organisations. Individual members and small groups of members are often found making Candy Floss, Popcorn or Hot Chestnuts to aid the fund raising efforts of other organisations or merely to add ‘flavour’ to their events.

The Magor Churchmen’s Society is a non-exclusive organisation that has members from all walks of life. We all have one thing in common and that is the desire to foster community spirit within our villages. Membership is drawn largely from the villages of Magor, Undy and Redwick.
