Prayer

If a relationship is to flourish there needs to be good communication. This is certainly true when it comes to our relationship with God. Prayer is the foundation of our daily relationship with God.

There are all sorts of different ways to pray

  • simply speaking as you would to a friend talking about your day, your worries, hopes and joys
  • using formal liturgies and orders of service
  • meditating on Scripture

Some will find speaking freely works best for them, others will find that hard and will use pre-written prayers to give them some structure. Different things work for different people so try out something new to see if that works for you.

Daily Prayer Booklets

We have put together a number of resources to aid prayer at home which also help to mark the different seasons of the church year. If you’re unable to attend church for whatever reason for a prolonged period of time we’d commend them to you to get a better sense of praying with the wider church and working through the seasons with us.

However we’d encourage everyone to consider using them daily if you find structure helpful when praying. They can be downloaded by clicking on the links on the right, but if you’d like a hard copy or know someone who would like one please let us know.

A pattern of Sunday readings can also be found on the right.

Prayer Requests

If you would like us to pray for you or someone you know then please drop us a message on Facebook or Twitter @NetherwentMA or send an email to prayers@magorministryarea.org.uk. All prayer requests will be treated in confidence.
