The leadership of the Netherwent Ministry Area, along with the wider Church in Wales, its Archbishop, Bishops, clergy and leaders, are committed to safeguarding as an integral part of the life and ministry of the Church.

Safeguarding means preventing harm to children and adults at risk by protecting them from abuse or neglect.​

We are committed to:​

  • promote the wellbeing of children and adults at risk​
  • raise awareness of safeguarding within the Church​
  • work to prevent abuse or harm from occurring​
  • seek to protect and respond well to those that have been abused.​

If anyone has safeguarding concerns relating to Children or Vulnerable Adults within the Netherwent Ministry Area, it is vital that these are shared at the earliest possible opportunity with the Provincial Safeguarding Team.
