We’re here for all of life’s moments. Our churches have witnessed the Christenings, Weddings and Funerals of thousands of our villages’ residents, and this continues to this day.
So whether you’re celebrating a new arrival and looking for a Christening or service of thanksgiving, looking to get married or have your marriage blessed, or mourning a loved one and looking to arrange a funeral or memorial service, we’re here for you.
Baptisms
From the earliest days of the Christian Church, Baptism has been the way in which people become Christians and members of the Church.
In Baptism we thank God for his gift of life and publicly acknowledge his love. In the Anglican Church it is common to baptise young children; this is sometimes known as Christening.
Weddings
Congratulations on your engagement! We know that you’ll have lots to think about and many questions. We are here to help.
We want to work with you to help make your wedding day as special possible. Once you have booked a date a member of the clergy will be in touch to discuss your wedding.
We also do blessings of marriages, whether following a Civil Ceremony or later in your married life, more information is included below.
Funerals
The loss of a loved one can be a difficult time, and we’re here to offer help, comfort and support.
Normally funerals are booked through a funeral director but we’re happy to chat about funeral plans or any questions you might have as you start to think about how to say farewell.
